I spent last weekend visiting Uba and family. We didn't have time to play very many games except for Mythgardia and a quick game of Snowtails. I guess I was too busy with tubing, tennis and tanning at the lake.
However, we did get talking about F:AT over a couple beers and wings. I know there's some people like Steve Weeks that are very confused about everything but to be honest, I'm a little confused over the difference between something that goes in on the Blog and stuff that goes in Trash Talk. And perhaps there is a few other people that maybe confused.
The Captain in C.H.Luke "What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it..."
Here's how I (probably incorrectly) see the difference:
Examples of typical Blog posts:
A long piece that could be upgraded to the Front Page
A crazy rant about almost anything
Session reports, con reports, funny experiences, gaming experiences
Game designs in process
Examples of good blog writers Thaad, Ska Barron and Uba
Examples of typical Trash Talk posts:
Thunder dome
What's your thought on game X
Guess what game Y will be coming out this fall
What have you been playing lately
Play by forum games
Meet ups for cons
Where should the following go?
Mini reviews not worthy of the Front Page
Calling someone or something out or making fun of them for example Barnes, FFG, F:AT, Euros, TOS, pop up ads?
