Ordering

OK, a good friend of mine, Ken Dunn, has a game up for preorder called Kawaguchi's Gamble from MMP.  It is about the biggest Japanese attack on Henderson Field at Guadalcanal in World War Two.  It is an "Area-Impulse" game with a system derived Breakout:Normandy and several others.  A tried and true game system about a rather major battle in World War Two.  The designer is the same designer as the guy would made the wildly popular Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit - so he has pedigree to match.     But the game is dying on prepub....

The design has gone through three complete overhauls, which have been particularly arduous because the game is so card dependent (there are over 600), and each revision has necessitated a near-complete rewrite of all of the cards. A few weeks ago I finally managed to finish the third complete prototype (above), and this past week a gang of hardy playtesters were finally able to put it through its paces. I got...
