Every year I scour the Essen reports for new and interesting games. Several games we have already been anticipating and talking about for weeks, months, and in some cases years. Zman Game's Earth Reborn now has it's own official website: http://earthreborn.ludically.com Discover the Earth Reborn universe and its characters, including illustrations, miniature photos, concepts, etc. (3 out of the 12 characters are online, more will come online later). Download the official Rule book and Background & Scenarios book. In the "Game mechanics" blog section, Chris Boelinger, the author, will discuss the many game design innovations in Earth Reborn. F:ATies get the first sneak peek at the awesome sculpts for Earth Reborn. Click on the images to enlarge and appreciate. Zev, from Z-man tells us that Earth Reborn is scheduled to release in October or November. They hope to have a playable copy at Gen Con.    

When they said that the new RISK: FACTIONS XBLA game was going to have cats and robots in it, I was skeptical. When zombies were mentioned as one of the factions in the game, I started losing interest. But it's a good thing I didn't, because not only do I get to do another one of those pro video game reviews that will put my name in lights (on Metacritic at least), it's also a pretty good edition of RISK. In fact, I almost wish that any new version of the printed game would bring...
