They've been handling WoW TCG for about two years now, and afaik doing a better job with game design than Upper Deck did. Either they built up money from the TCG, or they really are being bankrolled by Blizzard.

So what? That has no bearing on the fact the name been used for a board game before.

There and Back Again is the subtitle of one of the Hobbit movies since they split it into two parts, hence the licensed games bearing that name.

Between this and the other announcement, I'm thinking that the number of deck-builders on the market has just doubled.

And they really ought to check that a name hasn't already been used: There and Back Again.

VonTush: Good questions! Hope to read some good answers. For #2: either someone with more money than sense helped a start-up game company and/or slept with the license holder(s).

I tried to get them to send me Spell Wars to review. They didn't seem to be having it.

They seem to actually do good stuff, though I'm skeptical that with that many hobbit games there won't at the least be a few total shit shows. I'd love them to all be awesome though.

Food Fight is there's too. It's like multiplayer Battle Line with drafting. Pretty good.

When Upper Deck lost the WoW TCG license they got it. I believe they're an offshoot of Blizzard, the company that makes the WOW MMO.

Cryptozoic is a fairly new company. They started in 2010. They started with trading cards, moved into trading card games, and now into card games and boardgames. Most of their stuff is licenses. Their best know game is probably the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (which just got nominated for an Origins Award). I've heard that their game Epic Spell Wars, which is one of their few products that isn't based on a license, is fun.

1) Who is Cryptozoic?
2) How do they afford all the licenses?
3) Have any of their games been any good?
