Generally it just seems that, when a third party is involved to handle part of the project, the first thing that happens is postage skyrockets. Not that that doesn't happen with some projects that are entirely run by the designer. But, when I see a card game wanting $25-30 for shipping, or a board game wanting $50, that's when I start asking hard questions regarding their shipping method(s) before pledging (and that's without factoring in the discount for 'free' domestic US shipping). And my most recent standard of comparison is MIke sending The Ares Project for just under $17...

Hopefully, Steve, you can get Game Salute to offer a fair deal for international buyers with a choice of courier. Failing that, I'll have to trust someone in our game group gets it.

...has been professional. However, anyone shipping internationally should almost surely go to parcel post. CanadaUS is the worst to try and ship a package. Fedex and UPS both go through these third party customs brokers that charge a separate fee on most packages. It is a total racket.

I understand, Thanks anyway. So far I have been happy with the level of professionalism they have exhibited. I am not a big fan of kickstarter but there were many factors to consider when launching the game. Hopefully you can get to Trashfest South one of these days and we'll break it out then ;D

Aw jeez, Kickstarting with Game Salute? Please reconsider.
(They use FedEx, who tried to force me to pay a customs charge, despite it being below the gift limit, and despite them losing the damn parcel. It took months to sort the mess out, without any investigation of what happened to the parcel. Sorry Steve, but that's a guaranteed no pledge from me.)
