I'm an Exchange email admin with a wife and 8-year-old budding-gamer son. We all live in Minneapolis, MN, USA in a 108 year old house in the city. And we damn well flee the rat-race as often as possible to our cabin on 20 acres on the Cascade River on Lake Superior’s North Shore (think almost half way up from the western pointy bit of Lake Superior, 45mi south of Canada). Cabin's got most of the comforts: solar power, a well, propane hot water & cooking. Got a yagi antenna pointed at the nearest cell tower if we want to talk to someone. A TV (for dvd's), and a sizable stack of games. Did I mention the hot and cold running NATURE?: I've stood in my jockies on our front steps and looked 25 feet away at a moose chewing his breakfast and looking back at me at 8:15 in the morning. And at the right time of year, the river's got some decent brown trout. Did I mention I'm pretty damn happy? My next goal is to figure out how to catch the damn fish.:D |
