Garlic BreadWent to Francie Pants' house for dinner and games last night. She e-mailed me last week to ask if I would add Dominion and Dominion Intrigue to my next game order. I used her request as an excuse to order Middle Earth Quest. The box arrived yesterday afternoon, so I called Francie to let her know, and she said she was having a couple of people over for dinner and games, and I should come and bring the boxes.

The description of a game is supposed to entice you to buy it. Sometimes it is over the top stupid. Sometimes it is boring. Sometimes it is mistranslated and you get "reap the seeds of victory" But sometimes it is just WorseThanFail.

Roly Pawns

Well, sort of. The Spawn designed a board game for her summer reading project. I got to help her out on account of she decided to record an interview for her other project, and the Man has all the recording equipment. He's teaching her how to do sound editing. I just taught her how to rip off Euro mechanics and slap a theme on.

So I went over to The Grid, which is where my game group meets, to try and buy 1D3. I like to buy stuff at The Grid, since they let us play there, and are super nice, but they mostly sell CCG and D&D stuff there, so pretty much I just buy dice and card sleeves, and junk like that there. They keep all their stuff behind a counter, which is kind of a pain, but makes sense, so I had to wait for someone to help me.
