A few years ago, on a whim, I decided it would be fun to have a dungeon crawl board game. I remembered the old commercials of Hero Quest, and remembered having played Warhammer Quest one time back in college. After doing some research on that other site, it quickly became apparent that the current King of the Hill was Descent: Journeys in the Dark. The only part I wasn't completely sold on was the 'many against one' setup. I knew I'd end up as the Overlord, and I wanted to be a hero, fighting monsters with my friends. Undaunted, I bought it anyway, and immediately fell in love with it. Within a matter of months I obtained all of the expansions that were available (everything up through Tomb of Ice).
