I like the 35 minute mark much better, so that might be why I like this so much more. 10-15 minutes doesn't feel like it's worth the effort to set up. Add that the first four turns of Quarriors are painfully dull with just the base dice, anything that builds time in the juicier part of the game is a positive for me.
What extends the game time for us is die selection. There's actually a decision to be made when you can split your quid.
