Anybody have a line on some Marvel Dice Masters?

Anyone have a local source, friend, FLGS or whatever that will let me preorder a starter and a booster box of Marvel Dice Masters? I wasn't really interested, then I was, then I wasn't, and now I am again and they're sold out everywhere. Comes out next week. Want to get it and write it up, Wizkids didn't return my call.

Anyone? Or am I going to have hit up Target/Toys R Us?

They're showing like 4 starters in stock, two booster boxes. They're retail, so it's about $15 or so more than CSI. But shipping is only like $7, so it balances out more or less.

The game is going to be hot and play like some asynchronous iPhone ccg. That's the line.

Yeah, but I got a few microdice caught in a sinus. Plus it didn't provide me the heightened Caylus prowess and awareness I was promised. Overall a Weak 7.

Hot tip: If you don't buy everything from Rockin B Games in Batavia OH, there is a high probability that you don't know any better. Yes, their interface sucks, but they have EVERYTHING in stock when it comes to many things.

For instance, they have the original Catacombs in stock. 13 copies at last glance.

Hidden Gem.

Yesterday I stopped by the FLGS and their shipment hadn't arrived yet. On a whim I threw down my name to pull a starter for me.

Today I stopped in and found out the shop only received one starter set. He sold it to me provided I took it out in an unmarked box, didn't bring it to boardgame day until some more copies started to hit the channels and disavowed all knowledge of what transpired.

I read through the basic rules and some of the Tournament Rules and it looks like it takes Quarriors and improves on everything. Combos and synergies appear to be more interesting. Buying dice is more interesting since it allows multiple buys. Picking your teams gives you more control over what cards appear. Plus it allows you a reroll.

Quarriors I thought was a good game but contained some flaws. LotR The Dice Game did a lot of neat things with the system. The improvements in MDM:AvX-M is very promising and I'm more excited to play than I thought I would be. The downside is the two player restriction.

I got a starter and 16 boosters from the site Barnes mentioned, but damned if I can tell if it shipped or not. I got the check my order status and it says it shipped one of each item, but I've not received a shipping email, tracking number, nothing.

Josh, I pestered those guys for four days to give me a yes or no as to whether they would have inventory to ship on the 23rd...the guy emailed me Tuesday saying that they would ship Thursday and they had stock in hand. Sure enough, got a tracking number Thursday and they're due here today. I'd bet yours will be too, if not today then Monday.
