It's certainly brutal. It's just not that interesting or fun compared with goblins & undeath.

I wish I got to play my Dungeon Command sets more often. I need to start setting up a mid-week game night that is just 2 player.

Are the Dungeon Command minis truly pre-painted and if so how are the paint jobs? Are the minis of good quality? If so then those sets are a great deal for the amount of painted plastic you get in each set.

They are truly pre-painted. The paint jobs are mostly good and are better in the later sets (Curse of Undeath looks really good). The main figures get the full treatment and are about the same quality as the D&D minis were. Some of the smaller stuff, like the spiders in the Drow set, are pretty minimal but theyre fine.

I actually really like to solo DC...

Every time I attempt to solo a boardgame I sit there and wonder why I'm not playing a computer game.

The most fun I've ever had soloing a game was Mage Knight. I've actually never played it any other way. I could see going 2 player but not more than that.

I also have a great time solo with Death Angel because of its minimal fuss.

I Skype-Gamed it once. It was pretty slick. Sadly, I mostly despise the Dungeon Command system as a bastardized hybrid of other, also unfun, games.

Still love it. Sadly, its sat dormant for almost a year because I made the mistake of breaking out my Dwarven Forge stuff and played it with the Circus like that. Now, it will never see the light of day until the remodel is done, I get my office back, and my really cool shit comes out of storage.
