Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
Gen Con X-wing
But all the different arcs are much more common in ST:AW than XWing.
I don't think XWing does it as much because it is more of a fighter scale where ST has larger ships with what would in effect be broadsides. My guess at least.

This one is sketchy. It looks the same size as the other ships so why is it on a large base?
Check out the prices:
IG-2000:. $29.95 (!)
StarViper: $19.95
M3-A:...... $14.95
Most Wanted: $39.95
Yeah, I dunno about that IG-2000... I think X-Wing prices have been fair and reasonable but this one is questionable. EDIT: Ok, I watched a different video and it looks a bit larger than I first thought. Still doesn't look like thirty bucks size.
All the other large ships (large, not "huge" to use their parlance) have been $29.99. I think the Deceimator is actually 39 or 49 retail, so I don't think it's too out of line, especially if you get more scenario components, which have been part of all of the "large" boxes.
What gets me is why the StarViper is 20, that's what's breaking precedent.

Something I would have liked to ask those guys is why they never bother to fiddle with the firing arcs. Doesn't ST:AW do this?
I think you start doing that and you really break what the game is about. They talk about it in that team covenant video but X-wing is very much about who pilots better and that means setting up shots and avoiding your opponents shots.
As for making them smaller, that would be such a huge nerf I can't even imagine what kind of power you'd have to give a ship to make up for it. Again, you'd be talking about things that completely change the way the game is played, and probably not for the better.

This was a great interview. The design side of FFG is not a group of cold, calculating revenue maximizers.

I dunno, do you really think shaving 10-15 degrees off the front arc would change things that much? I'm not suggesting anything drastic. Doing this would let them shave off some point cost or maybe fight off power creep. Bah, you're probably right though. I just like wierd variety.Stonecutter wrote: As for making them smaller, that would be such a huge nerf I can't even imagine what kind of power you'd have to give a ship to make up for it.
