Trashfest Southwest?

So now that Trashfest Northeast is in full swing, is anyone interested in putting together a Trashfest Southwest? I know that Jeff White and metalface did one in Austin a couple years back. I'd love to get together with a group of F:ATties at some point, but it's not really cost-effective to try to make it out to Connecticut.

Is there enough interest to get something going later this fall? I'd be willing to drive, or even try to figure out a way to host in the DFW area, though I don't really have a lot of knowledge of the area yet since I've only been here a few days.

Getting to DFW is super easy for me, as is getting to Austin. You do not want to come to Lubbock.

Well we have BGG.CON in the fall in Dallas. I'd be up for a fall get together, or even in the spring. Spring seems to be the least conflicting game time for myself.

But hey, I would probably be up for anything. My job keeps me pretty busy, so I wouldn't have a lot of cycles to run one or to do the planning. All I could really offer now is my butt in the pews.

You may want to possibly meet everyone half way, and maybe think about Waco as a hosting location.

I think Jeff is furthest south in Buda. I am just north of Austin, and I am not 100% sure where everyone else hails from

Houston for me. So Austin is not a problem at all.

Austin as well...well, Kyle, but close enough. Family in Houston, so that's easy. Oh, Austin hosts the Board Game Bash usually on the first weekend in August. A lot cheaper than BGG, so maybe an option...

...or we can fold this into the 'Game Camp' Chapel and I have been trying to coordinate for about three years. hahahaha!

It's beginning to sound like Austin is the most central city we have for this. Except for Gary, but he's way out in LOLubbock. My preference for something is before the end of 2014, but that's because once school starts I'll be booked solid.

Tell us more of this game camp.

As long as it's in a city with a decent airport, maybe some of us Northwesters can appear.

My brother lives in Austin, so it's no sweat for me to crash there after a drive/flight.

For grins I priced Southwest Airlines Baltimore to Austin for October 23rd to 27th, non-stop both ways. $378 round trip.
