Trashfest Southwest?

To clarify, I don't own any firearms and am totally fine if there's no drinking at all, so stopping at 10 works for me.

Basically, I'm not a psycho and am up for whatever Nate and Chapel can manage to swing.

What kind of dates are we looking at? My fall is basically open right now, so Sag's hypothetical October dates work fine for me. Didn't see a free pavilion at Enchanted Rock for that stretch, but then I haven't really taken much time to figure out the Texas State Parks site. Anyway it's a big state. There are lots of other places, like the one Chapel mentioned.

No drinking isn't a dealbreaker for me, since I don't actually drink.

Sept. 22-27 works great for me as the wifey is out of town. Maybe I could convince my brother to come out.

I'm planning to be at Repo's shindig in the NE in November, but besides that I can make most things work on a weekend.

October may be tough for me, but possibly doable. Late September or November would be better.

I'm wondering it late September might be best then. It sounds like October might be a bit packed for some people, and I wonder if November might be tough with both Trashfest Northeast and BGG.Con going on.

Thoughts? Could we throw this together in a month?

Might be busy last weekend of September (27th), but you should go with whatever is good for the majority of people.

Here's another option...

Dallas Games Marathon does a monthly weekend of gaming the second weekend of every month. Registration is like $15, and it goes from 6PM on Friday the 19th until 6PM on Sunday the 21st. It's in a strip mall in Plano with a big ol' game library. There are a lot of restaurants in the area as well, and I believe that snacks and drinks are included in the registration. (I think it goes up to $20 at the door.)

They do allow outside food but not alcohol. If someone wanted to step out and get a drink elsewhere that'd be fine. We just learned that we've been approved for a condo in Garland that will have a guest bedroom, so if someone wanted to stay with us they would be welcome.

You can check out the event website to get some more info. I assume some of you have been to this event already. I'll probably try to go either way, but if we're meeting in September anyway it might be good.

Just bumping the thread to see where everyone still stands on this. Do the Austin people know of any good spot down there? Does DGM appeal to anyone?

I expect MANY hang outs when I'm down for PAX South in January. I guess we can also hang out at BGGCon too

Make this a big enough deal and maybe I can convince someone to pay me to go hustle!
