GREATEST. GAME. EVER.

I recently sold my Valley Games edition. I had AH, VG, TITAN the Arena, and Colossal Arena. Big fan here. I figured I'd never land the gorgonstar edition, so my collection would never be truly complete (that and trying to minimize)...if I had only known gorgonstar would be available...

I've been wanting to try Titan. Do you guys recommend the IOS version?

The iPad edition is great and will teach you the game--it has a solid tutorial and looks really nice.

The game is deep. There's obviously scads of RNG,* but more skilled players will almost always beat less skilled ones.

*(I have literally thrown 36 d6s at one time in this game and the outcome mattered.)

I am surprised it didn't go for more. This was Gary Gygax's personal copy that was the Demo copy used at Origins in 1980. Essentially this was the copy Gary Gaygax and Jason McAllister showed the world Titan for the first time.

I've seen copies in worse condition sell for more than this one.

Maybe folks already blew their budget on holiday gifts?

I had considered dropping a bid on it, so I could at least make an effort - and look at myself in the mirror at night, but I couldn't risk it. It was already too high.

I actually bid $400 on it, but it was holing tight, so I backed off.

Just curious, if you paid $400 for a game, would you ever play that edition? Or just keep it as a collectors item?

Oh heck no, I would have put that in some kind of frame and it would find a space on the wall.

Nov/Dec is a terrible time to try and move a big ticket item, put this up in April and it'd have gotten more.
