I am pretty excite, not sure where I will find a $100 for a piece of plastic, but still excited.

I like the TIE Advance and I really like the two new cards for it that have been revealed especially the sensors upgrade. The other one will finally make Marek Steele worth playing.

I also think I see the emperor as a crew member.

I do believe that is correct! I also like that it appears they're packing four of each of the Tie Advanced cards in with it. And that's also at least four named Tie Advanced pilots.

The ship is hot. So is tweaking the Tie Advanced. What is different about the paint job I know not. And doesn't the Emperor have better things to do than clown around in a patrol corvette? heh

Yeah the Emperor being a crew member is weird.

The TIE Advanced has the blueish grey paint job that the Bombers has. That's the only difference.

It's simple, this is the ship The Emperor tools around in with his boyz picking up chicks.

Unfortunately. But the lack of creativity in this model design is equally unfortunate.

I like the design, it has a nice transitional look between the fighter design and the large capital ship design. Of course what do you expect as far as creativity? It is a design obviously inspired by what came before it and looks like it fits pretty well into the cannon. I think that LFL/Disney letting FFG design a ship and become part of the cannon is pretty awesome.

I'm fine with the Raider design. And I'm happy that the designers came through on the promise they made at Gen Con that improvements were coming for the Advanced. The title gives all kinds of options unlike the strict cost reduction of the Chardaan Refit for the A-Wing, which is still burdened (like the Advanced) by part of its cost involving an ordnance slot, which still sucks in-game.

What pisses me off is that I didn't want to have to shell out $100 for a ship that I'm likely never to use in order to get my Advanced fix. My local group almost never plays Epic. If they had released a boxed set like Imperial Aces for the Advanced, I would have been all over it. This is just annoying, especially since I'm already going to be spending $ early in the year for Scum & Villainy.

Yeah, they've got a release date of q1 for this, which seems awful soon. There has been a delay of xwing stuff getting in, so it's possible to see it q2. A lot of xwing coming in. I am excited to get both epic ships on the table with a full complement of fighters to go with.

That was my first thought as well. I really love how XWing is going towards this dual layer game and now with an epic ship on both sides it starts to open up so much I feel.

If you don't plan to use the new cards in tournaments, just print them off. Although if you want the new pilots, you'll have to get creative with the pilot tokens. Personally, I like making stuff like that.
