Wow! It took the reviewer and his gang six hours to play the game. Will that be a tough sell in the marketplace which presently seems to like games in the 20-90 minute range? I like this trend toward old-school style games that are longer than the attention span of a sitcom.

He did also say another game with that group could bring the time to 4 hours.. Is there a marketplace for 120 min+ games? Not sure, but there are younger gamers with more time than us oldies coming up through the ranks. This may be right up their alley. Especially if they are WH40K fans. Fantasy Flight's Relic and Chaos in the Old World seem to have done alright and they are definitely not 20-90 minute games.

I'm still waiting for mine from CSI.

BTW, tell me if this makes any fucking sense. The game shipped from FL on Tuesday. Thursday it reached the FedEx facility in Willington, CT, which is a mere 15-20 minutes tops from where I live. It was there for a considerable amount of time. It then goes to Northhampton, MA, then back to CT only this time it goes to Windsor, which is probably 40-45 minutes from me, where it will head of for delivery this coming Tuesday. What the fuck? How inefficient. I could have had that bitch in hand on Thursday and have played it this weekend.

You should see the arduous route things have to take to get to a city 6 hours from anything. I plan all mail to get to/from places a day later than I used to when I lived in IL.

I think I definitely want this. Not sure when I'll get it. We're closing on a house this week, and spending a bunch getting that bought and furnished and stuff. Plus, I just got three new games a few weeks ago. I'll definitely grab this at some point, but $70 ain't cheap right now.

My pre order arrived at my FLGS yesterday and I picked it up last night. I'm still reading through the rules but so far it looks pretty good.

Only a game with werewolves in it should bother tracking the phases of the moon.

Or in Ultima: two moons.

Someone post whether this is FFG's Starcraft replacement (SciFi, different factions, hidden stacked orders).

I want to know the same thing. The order tokens have me wondering. No Z-Axis though, and a different combat system. I'd love for an experienced longtime StarCraft player to get some Forbidden Stars play and weigh in.

I hope that it isn't, but the combat example FFG posted in one of their previews made it look like it was nearly as confusing and/or convoluted as it is in Starcraft, just in a different way. Of course, it didn't help that their combat example had a big error, which in and of itself doesn't bode well.
