This is some bullshit.
Hasbro is too big to worry about something like BGG, this is going USA retail rather than just for some boardgame collectors

A Star Wars Heroscape set.
I'm guessing a full blown starter set is out of the question at this point, but I'd settle for a mini starter sort of like that Marvel set. You'd think with all that dosh X-Wing is making, Hasbro would get on something like this.
If Heroscape counts as a miniatures game would that not come under the license FFG has, or has more than one company got the same license type (miniatures, boardgames etc..) this time around ?

This game looks nice though and will be a bonus if it wraps up quickly.

Even as a kid, though, Empire kind of disappointed me and Jedi just didn't do a whole lot for me. Although Empire had a lot in the right place, it bugged me as a kid that it essentially had no beginning and no end, and not a whole lot happens in between. And Jedi just felt like going through the motions and goofiness.
As I grew older I realized how much I didn't care about the supposed story of Darth Vader. I didn't see how him being Luke's father (a) worked or (b) changed anything. It's probably just my own weird family shit, but that just never resonated with me. Once I figured that out I realized how much the family thing just wrecks the entire story for me. The prequels never really stood a chance because they were telling a story I didn't buy from the beginning, and everything since then has just decided that more family=better story.
As far as I'm concerned, the best order to watch the movies in is: 1) Star Wars, 2) wasn't that great?
Except for the part where I'm three years older, it's like we're twins separated at birth, at least with respect to Star Wars. When I see some of the positive remarks in this thread about Ewoks, it makes me feel sad because young children got completely taken in by some cynical marketing efforts, and even as adults, they are still victims of that manipulation.

Not the same. Frodo was pretty much a wee-size Englishman. Tolkien didn't cynically create Frodo as the centerpiece of a marketing campaign. Don't make me defend the Jackson movies, because I found them somewhat bloated, especially the prequel trilogy.

But isn't this set during the Endor battle of RotJ? Then who the hell's the dude at the top? Is he from the new movie? If yes, why's he on this box cover, aside from tying it in to the new movie?

It makes me a bit squishy.
That's Star Wars as a whole for ya. You think you're over it, or maybe you just move away from it for awhile, then suddenly it hits you and you're 8 years old again.
