Over the past month you dicks (and dicktresses, to be fair) have been hoarding opinions, scattering your wisdom and experiences all over this site. It's a mess.

SO...

The scope of this thread is to create a Codex of Ultimate Gaming Wisdom (TM) about games that you love but do not speak about often.
Because the hobby is so insular, there's a lot of people who expect that others 'know' about a game that they feel is awesome, so never mention it.

Let's begin.

POWER $TRUGGLE:
Setting: It's a corporation game where you climb the ladders through bribery, acquisition, and outright fuckage.
Theme: Fuckery, of the highest order. Also, area control, worker placement of a sort
What Makes It Awesome: The sheer level of white hot fuckery in this game puts it on par with games like Cosmic Encounter, IMO.

Minion Hunter by Lester 'Dragon Dice' Smith (1992 - GDW)

Setting: Set in the near future dystopian/horror setting of the Dark Conspiracy RPG.
(From Wikipedia)The game was set in the early 21st century after the "Greater Depression" has destroyed the global economy. Focusing on the United States, the game describes a country undergoing slow collapse. Most of the largest cities have continued to expand and formed massive metroplexes, in some cases covering entire states' worth of land. Outside of the metroplexes the majority of the country has become known as "Out-Law" where there is virtually no federal or state protection and the road network is barely maintained between the glittering lights of the Metroplexes. Scattered throughout the Out-Law and even in the darker and more forbidding areas of the Metroplexes, zones known as "Demonground" have begun to appear. These areas are warped and twisted by energy leaking from other dimensions, trying to impose their version of reality onto our own. Out of these areas spread monsters: everything from legendary creatures such as Vampires and Werewolves to the science fiction nightmares of aliens and cyborgs. The PCs typically assume the roles of people who have stumbled across this "Dark Incursion", known as Minion Hunters, and taken up arms against it.

Theme: (from Wikipedia) The game is designed to encourage the players to work together to stall and/or defeat the plans of four Dark Minion races as a primary goal, with the individual advancement of the players as a secondary objective.

What Makes It Awesome: One of the first, and still the best, pure co-ops that approximates the key points of playing an RPG. It's not a total random fest like AH, and the players can work together to sort out how they're going to explore the Metroplexes and navigate the Outlaw lands and Demongrounds. There's enough random elements though that it avoids the alpha dog syndrome. The art is pure late 80's/early 90's, GDW/FASA charm and the best game to play John Carpenter music to.
