Got a publisher for my game

I feel the need to brag a bit to people who will understand.

I just signed a deal with Mr. B. Games to publish my Lovecraftian game Cults of Arkham. It's a game where you play the cultists and you win by being the first to summon your specific unspeakable horror. Yes, it's Cthulhu, and yes we will go the Kickstarter route, but I'm still very psyched about it. Not the least because Sean from Mr. B happens to know Richard Launius and convinced him to co-design the final version of the game. In other words I get to design a Mythos-themed board game with the man behind Arkham Horror, so I'm pretty starstruck.

The name will be changed so as not to conflict with FFG, but for now you can see a bit more and follow our progress on www.facebook.com/cultsofarkham

Thank you, guys. I think it's gonna be a game that will fit very well with the users of this forum. As is, it's not entirely unlike a mix of Chaos in the Old World and Arkham Horror, but Launius has some pretty promising ideas.

And I will definitely write something about the entire proces when we are closer to the final version. One thing that has been different about this project is that I made it for a convention and therefore wanted to make it not just feel, but also look like a finished game. So I hired a cool illustrator and made a very complete game before showing it to a publisher. This is not something I would normally recommend a designer do, but it helped me finish the game because I didn't want to combine good looking and original artwork with a game that hadn't been properly tested.

Thanks. The d is indeed silent. So it's pronounced more or less like the mas part in chritmas.

Cool. I really dig that name. If I ever have to go on the lam I will go by Mads heh..
