We interviewed Rob Daviau last week and it just went up today. Thought some people here may be interested.
Can find the links here.
We talk Legacy mechanisms, his time at Hasbro, and future projects. I wish we would have had more time for specific SeaFall questions but we didn't.

Enjoyed the podcast. Perfect thing to listen to while I am peddling stationery bike at the gym to rehab after knee surgery. Will download a few more and give you a sweet review on iTunes.
HFS!!!!!! Pete Ruth on episode 6? THE Pete Ruth? How did you get him?

Thanks guys.
Pete's an elusive dude. He also gave Raf some heartburn having to edit out comments about Roofies and hookers. Pete's an awesome guy though and easy to talk to.
Nate's on the previous episode (11) too.
Appreciate a review on iTunes for sure. That helps us climb higher on searches and in the game category. Thanks!

It's my understanding that he's still awaiting being called back for a second run on the show.
I still think that the "roofies" comment was totally appropriate because it was 100% related to the replay value of TIME Stories....

Oh it definitely made sense and was a good analogy.
We'll have you back on Pete. Just have a busy schedule at the moment.

I always like listening to Rob talk about the Legacy stuff. I'm a fan, and you can generally tell that it's not a cash grab, especially when he explained that designing one legacy game takes the effort of 3-4 other games.

Guys - I could have listened to you talk to Rob for another 2 hours.
Bummed there were zero SeaFall questions, but did love learning about Chronicles. Not that I have a regular group enough to move more into Risk Legacy, but damn if I won't buy SeaFall...
Thanks for making this - great quality and content as always!

Thanks! We had a couple of SeaFall questions but ran out of time. They were bumped down the priority list because SeaFall information is coming at some point, at least once people start playing it and those particular questions would kind of be obsolete and time sensitive.
Instead we pushed questions up that were more about Rob, his design/playtest philosophy, and about his past. Stuff you won't find elsewhere and won't be superfluous with time.

I liked when you guys talked about being a DM, or his interactions with Craig Van Ness, because I can totally see that. Craig used to play the winner of the main GenCon tournament every year, in sort of a showcase match where the winner would often play some somewhat competitive, yet clowny units for fun. My favorite Craig moment was when we were playing Codenames one night during GenCon. Someone said, "Business 2." We picked an obvious word, and then he looked at the rest of his team and said, "Guys, come on, Apple is a business," in a matter-of-fact and convincing way. So of course we go along with it... assassin'd. I felt like he was playing the game on a different level than us.
