It's funny that people want to buy this game without the minis...on the flip side, I'm looking to drop about $80 for minis only (BB Team) with no game...

It's more likely that I will sell other dungeoncrawlers off. Especially since I'm now invested in building and painting these things. And also because if it holds out over a few games it might be pretty damn close to perfect as far as what I want out of these kinds of games.
Plus I love that it is cosmic and psychedelic. Quasi-Egyptian bird dudes, spider/goblin hybrids, monsters that divide into smaller monsters...
The activation system is similar to Claustrophobia but it is cleaner. It does the "roll to see if you can do this" but of RPGs up front on your turn and then hands you decisions.
The format is really different than other DCs. Rooms are random and each has story and effects all one card and it may reference a paragraph in the adventure book. It is an almost perfect mix of old school, old fashioned hobby game ideas and new school, streamlined modernity.

Assembling is no problem, I've already spent 10ish hours on Kingdom Death: Monster (and still have many to go).

Yeah, for some reason I'm getting more and more intrigued by the Age of Sigmar setting and a lot of it has to do because of the Silver Tower. i can understand the nerd rage of killing the Old World, it was my favorite fantasy setting, but maybe we should give this new psychedelic fantasy setting a chance? I dig the vibrant colors. Nice change of pace.
EDIT: They're really shooting themselves in the foot not calling this Age of Sigmar Adventures: Silver Tower or something. They should have tied the name more strongly to the new setting. Near as I can tell, this game has great word of mouth and sounds like the setting could use the positive press.

Even though it is WHQ (despite the jackasses saying things like "it is a mockery of a once great game"), they really should have called AoS Adventures or something like that. But they knew the brand still has much currency.
OW WHFB has been on life support for YEARS. Despite a handful of Internet complainers who want things to be the same today as they were when they were 20 years younger, the OW setting really needed a refresh. I was resistant too because that stuff is classic gaming, but after reading the fluff and seeing more of it I think it's pretty cool and I can see clear, logical thinking about what they are doing. It fits more with the far more successful 40k setting. It's better business and branding. And it's more unique.

Sounds like Shadows of Brimstone with the random rooms + encounter cards.
Also, do not use spray undercoat on Reaper bones minis, just like they tell you not to.
