So, anyone checked this? This should be in kickstarter, but it's a dungeon crawler...

Kitchen Sink: The RPG

"All of the sudden, arrows start shooting out from the walls!"
"More exclamation points!"

Complete with parlor games and some amazingly bad graphic design. "Placeholder art." Yeah, pull the other one.

Looks like it might fund at 70k though. More power to them.

I doubt that that is true. According to Bell of Lost Souls GW plans to include character sheets for Silver Tower in some model kits like the Lord of Plagues. I can't imagine they would do that and not include them in the Mighty Heroes expansion. The character sheets in the rulebook are probably intended for those who already have the Knight Venator or Slaughterpriest.

Edit: From GW's Mighty Heroes description: This box set contains four plastic Citadel miniatures, with rules for use in games of Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower.

Nope. I just went to check a few threads on the game's BGG page, seems like a bust and the company making the game is out of money to finish it and ship it.

Not a deal breaker for me, but pretty dumb.

Wow, that's really stupid. Copying the cards from the rulebook is certainly no big deal, but it would have been nice to have cards for the expansion characters that match those in the base set. Can't imagine the cards would have added a lot to the production cost, considering you could get those cards as pre-order bonus.

Huge swaths of BGG are devoted to "pimping" games...people spending tons of time, money and effort on it...and there is bitching about making a color copy of a character card- something most people can do at home these days?

I think back to all of the character sheets/mech record sheets/campaign records I've had to copy, maps I've had to get enlarged and laminated (or hand draw FFS), counters I've had to cut out because they weren't punched, dice where I've had to color in the numbers, binders/sleeves/storage I've had to buy separately...and I think "STFU about having to copy a card, spoiled ass brats".

The point is to direct people toward the app. Not because of some gross oversight or because GW "doesn't understand board gamers".

I dunno, Michael. What would the reaction be to FFG releasing its character/monster blister packs without any cards, instead directing users to a rulebook PDF and their cool new RtL app? Some eye rolling doesn't seem unreasonable.

Anyway, there's always Printerstudio for stuff like this I guess.

They already do stuff like that. Those Descent co-op packs for example do not include a rulebook and you have to download the PDF. I wouldn't be surprised if FFG starts exploring doing things like character add-ons as IAPs. Especially in light of RTL.

IEllo does this with most of the Heroes of Normandie add-ons that aren't in boxes.

I bought the Heroes expansion and find it somewhat irritating/inconvenient that the cards are not included. I donwloaded the app, and I think that it is going to be somewhat of a pain in the ass to track -- especially with multiple characters. Would be nice if I could just buy it somewhere instead of having to deal with it myself.

Not including the cards because there's an app is a hideous precedent and I won't support it.

I'm still going to get most stuff, probably. I bought the entire app -- looks like they are making playable characters out of existing models? Either that or they are going to release a shitload of expansions.

The fact that the character sheet has slots on it to track shit via tokens makes having a physical copy somewhat preferable. Seriously I would have paid $30 for a big pile of the various character sheets. Not trying to get something for nothing...just trying to minimize my own workload
