Is it worth tracking down Space Marine Pack 1 and Mission Pack 1, those are the two I don't have?

Michael, you can get it on eBay for $17 without instructions. The Universal Head rule summaries are better than the FFG rule book anyway.

Mission Pack 1 is $13 on Amazon.

Mission Pack 1 and the Tyranid expansion are the two best. I love the mission pack and I just mix it all together, drawing random rooms.

I've been playing this solo this weekend, mainly with the Deathwing. So at the risk of incurring FOMO wrath, here are some thoughts:

-Usually I play this solo or 3 players, so 3 or 6 teams, which means I never get to see rooms 1b and 1c. Guess I'll solo other numbers of teams in the future.
-The Tyranids are as brutal as ever.
-The Deathwing are far from the runts some F:ATties make them out to be. The two sergeant teams (power sword/thunder hammer team and lightning claws team) are really pretty so-so, but allow me to showcase the other 4's tremendous strengths:

Team Red (techmarine)
- Support: any one marine in the formation with a support token gets to make an attack against an engaged swarm regardless of facing, without spending said token. Getting an extra attack out of a support order is pretty good.
- Move and activate: brother techmarine can activate at range 1 regardless of facing.
- Attack: regular marine can spend any number of support tokens to kill as many 'stealers. A bit circumstantial and you need to work to get the most out of it.

Team Grey (psyker)
Different, yet just as devastating as the Blood Angels psyker. His attack lets him roll a die and kill that many 'stealers anywhere in the formation - that's up to 5 kills!
The DW psyker is teamed up with assault cannon marine whose only ability is to boast a range of 3.

Team Green (apothecary)
Support: apothecary may spend a support token to roll a die for a nearby marine who gets killed - on a skull he survives. Hard to use, but any chance to save someone is pretty rare.
Move and activate: one of the marines may leave booby traps behind - roll a die: on a skull, kill up to 4 'stealers in previous position, on a 0, marine now standing in said position dies. This is well worth the risk against a big swarm - to get to kill 4 'stealers without even attacking! Fantastic order.
Attack: you may add a support token on regular marine (ok? it's not even a support order!), and every support token adds 1 to his range. Pretty cool attack.
This humble team is definitely useful.

Team Purple (chaplain)
I don't care for their support (every time mister chaplain spends 1 support token this turn, give 1 token to another marine - would only happen if he was getting attacked!) or move and activate, but this team has THE VERY BEST attack card in the entire game:
DEATHWING ASSAULT - instead of attacking, each marine may target any swarm within range 1 (chaplain only has a range of 1 anyways), regardless of facing, and roll a die: if you roll equal or higher than the number of 'stealers in the swarm, you kill them ALL! This means agains a single 'stealer you have a 5/6 chance of splattering its alien brains over the vent grating from which it was emerging. Against 3 of them it's 50/50. Only negative here is that you can't use support tokens, but so what? Can't complain.

I've personally started playing with 4 teams solo, as it tends to smooth out the difficulty spikes. However, it does make it easier, so keep that in mind. Regarding the rooms you never see, there is a file over on BGG that gives you a table on how to use those cards in other positions by changing the blip piles. If you can't find it, I can look it up.

My biggest complaints about the Deathwing guys would be heavier reliance on support tokens and lack of synergy.
