I don't own many dexterity games. In fact, I don't think I have any in my current collection. I know there are several F:ATties that enjoy them though, so I'm publicly reaching out - what are your impressions of KLASK?
I've seen it now twice at Origins and Gencon. Every time I walked past the KLASK gaming tables at Gencon, it was crushed and people were having a fun time. It seems the table is available in the states via Target, so kudos to the publisher for landing that deal.
I saw this at Target last night (along with Evolution and Betrayal at the House on the Hill). It looks really fun,I'll probably get us one for Christmas.
They had a tournament at Gen Con and one of the guys who was with our 18 person St. Louis group made it all the way to the finals and lost. Prize was a trip to Norway. Looked like a hell of a lot of fun.
I saw it at Gencon but didn't get a chance to okay it until last night when a buddy brought it over. I thought it was a lot of fun and we all had fun playing it last night.
Last night, I bought my copy for $44 [Brandywine, MD]. My wife was uncertain when she saw the big box, but she gave it the 'ol college try. Seven games later, I squeaked out win four during match point. This thing is very fun, and I'm happy to have it in the collection.
Which made me wonder why I was so attracted to this dexterity game vs. others. I think, it's the containment. There are few chances for pieces to tumble off the table. I like that. Adult OCD or something. I LOVE Coconuts. Great production, great graphics. But God Damn. Rubber coconuts all over the place. Similarly, I LOVED Crossbows and Catapults when I was a kid. But God Damn did my parents hate caroms and flags vikings on the floor.
I still view Crossbows and Catapults/Weapons and Warriors as the gold standard for "shooting games", even moreso than Attacktix, which is still my all-time favorite game.
