TOPIC: Let's Talk Silver Tower

Let's Talk Silver Tower 29 Apr 2017 10:57 #247436

The new (40th anniversary) issue of White Dwarf is going to have whq hero cards for Kharadron Overlord heroes.

I've bought most issues of wd since the mag turned the corner with the big boardgame issue last September. If they're going to continue whq support with each major aos release, it may be time to subscribe...

I've been thinking about subscribing since my local shop has been kind of spotty about getting them in.

Yeah, the mag has been fantastic lately. the most recent issue has a sweet lotr scenario and rules for what appears to be dueling with any two minis.

it seems that each current issue has cool game related content on top of the new minis hype and standard mini pr0n.

I've been asked to join my buddy at his site "Wyrd Stones & Tackle Zones" where I submitted my review of the latest issue of White Dwarf:
wyrdstonesandtacklezones.com/2017/05/08/...arf-may-2017-review/

Pertinent to this thread...I created a new custom hero in the article for what I feel was a poor selection choice for Kharadron Heroes.

Man, I really want this game, but I REALLY REALLY don't ever want to touch modeling glue again.

Well....a few pages back, Shellhead shows off playing the game with wooden discs instead of minis.

Also, there are other options that exclude gluing models:

Okay, so I had bought a copy of this without minis that is on it's way to me now. In the mean time, I rocked a trade for the whole shebang! Traded Wrath of Ashardalon, Notre Dame, and Brewcrafters for it. BOOM SHAKA LAKA!!!!

Anyone want to buy my copy without miniatures? $24 shipped in the US. That's what I paid.

Well, I do love me some Feld and we have the new version on it's way so that was a no brainer. I don't need all three D&D games so I'm content to just keep Ravenloft. And Brewcrafters, meh. I got it in a trade for a game I never should have bought so that was fine as well.

I value what I gave up at about $80-$90 whereas Silver Tower would have cost me a minimum of $125. Pretty sure I win. But he's happy as well which is the best kind of trades.

Think I'm going to try Gorechosen tonight. I have minis assembled. Need to prime those. I'll probably just play with some tokens or something for now to get it going.
