First image I have seen of the actual contents:

LINK (it wasn't showing the image)
Sisters!

I am much more excited by this content than if the original rumors of having another dreadnought instead of Sisters.

No mention if it is cross-compatible with Betrayal at Calth. Maybe WD will print additional rules for some of the units.

Hmmm....I wish I could enlarge that image more. Can't get a good look, but from afar the minis look great (no surprise).

Sorry for this place turning into Fortress:GW for all the strictly board gamers though...

Hmmm Horus heresy era sisters are nice.
This seems like a better deal than calth, due to variety.
$150 is hard to swallow though. GW really need to stay below the $100 ceiling.

I'm actually turned off. It seems like they are not shooting for any kind of synergy with Betrayal at Calth, which probably would have pushed me to purchase more readily.

I was expecting this game to basically be a continuation.

Brings up another unrelated issue (THREAD JACKISH). If I were in Games Workshop higher up, I'd take a long think about how to bring women into the hobby more. The miniatures hobby is such a creative hobby there's obvious synergy with other common "non-nerdy" hobbies---and now that much of the hobby has moved online out of nasty dank ass sour sweat games stores and geek hobbies are slowly recognizing their significant female customer base and support.... I wonder if the Big Bald Dude models with virtually no women plays a part here.

VIDEO

Official video from GW providing a better look at all of the minis. I am not as impressed with the Sisters as I was hoping. I wanted them to go with a more functional armor look instead of the battle chic look.

The video posted on Facebook about 30 minutes ago, and already has over 11,000 views. It is so easy to forget the scope and scale that GW works with. In the Silver Tower thread Mr. White asked if Silver Tower sold well and my gut thinks that it under performed for GW (I think the Renegades box did better) but still an under performing game for GW would be a sales leader for just about any other company. That's why I found all those "Hopefully Asmodee will buy GW" comments comical.

The cross over with Calth I think will come from the unit selection rules in WD#1. I doubt there will be anything in the box specifically, and as I understand it Calth was released with a limited shelf life. And perhaps they'll do something similar for Prospero soon.

Looks like Oct 22nd is going to be the pre-order date. Meaning releasing on the 29th. Going to be hard to hand out candy with glue on my fingers.

Word over at The Grand Alliance community is that Silver Tower exceed expectations and was a surprise hit. I dunno. I would think anything AoS is still going to sell less than anything 40K at this time. So, it could have sold less than a pack of terminators but still be an AoS hit maybe.

At any rate, I've got a really crazy idea. Instead of buying this Prospero game...we could paint up and play the Space Hulks we already have...

That's a terrible idea. You need to buy more GW products to be unplayed so they can provide the Space Hulks with companionship.

I thought the Sisters of Silence looked pretty cool from what I saw, seem like a fitting tie-in with Sisters of Battle (although I don't think there is a link in the background fluff). Maybe they could be converted into Necromunda Escher?

When are we going to see some plastic Thunder Warriors? Forget the Horus Heresy I want to take it way back when the Emperor was uniting Terra and fighting techno-barbarians.

Anyone have a good shot of the Sister of Silence models from this set? I can only find small image, so no good detail. If they look anything like the following, then maybe one or two could be used as female stormcasts.

I kid about not caring about the Horus Heresy, I think it's an interesting period to game in (although the lack of xenos is kind of boring). I had a Space Wolves army back when I played in 2nd edition, but since then I think my allegiance has changed to their arch-nemesis the Thousand Sons, cool to see these two in a boxed game together.

Back when I had a Norse BB team, I cut a lineman's head off, and glued on a space marine helmet. I then glued some horns onto it and he had the viking beard puffing out the bottom.

He was called Techno-Berserko.

Techno-Berseko was the...*bzerrp*...best.

Where'd you find that?
