No longer will you have to scour the thrift stores to obtain an older edition of Acquire. I treasure my older copy. Hasbro has released a very nice new edition! Retail: $39. I know what would make a good gift to friends for Christmas.

I do think that they should have put another iconic business person on the box cover, however. Perhaps, another Wolf-of-Wallstreet type of executive holding a smart-phone in one hand, a Martini in the other, and wearing Google glasses.

Easily one of the best games ever designed. Glad to see plastic buildings are back. If the box is smaller I might have to retire my 1999 Avalon Hill edition.

HOWEVER..."Saxon City"? WTF?! Why the hell isn't it SACKSON City??? I find that grossly disrespectful.

Huh, I looked at the art and it has an AH brand on it.

This was the original proposed new box artwork.

I retired my 1999 version when I found it I could get a bill and a half for it. I am more than happy with my early AH copy....works just the same, and I have some extra scratch in my pocket.

I am down. Thank goodness they're rereleasing it.
I missed my chance at an AH version. This looks just as nice.

Plastic buildings for liiiiife. Best is 3M version though, with that pre-trademark LUXOR all up in your business.

This thread reminds me that I need to recover my old 3M edition of Acquire. Left it at an uncle's house many years ago around Christmas time. I could just buy a newer edition, but I prefer the more subdued color scheme of the original.

Such a crappy game. Why do they keep releasing this?

Must be nostalgia.
