So forgeworld is advertising sets of Krieg models to be used in SW:A. I'm not seeing a kill team pdf which has been released for them.

Does anyone know how they work? Are you supposed to play them using another faction's rules? Or maybe I missed their rules somewhere?

I would guess as a flavor of Astra Militarum.

Yeah, they would run as Astra Militarium. The rules show Cadians, but they can be used for Catachans and Steel Legion. Or Krieg. It's kind of doofy that Steel Legion isn't the "face" of
AM because of the Armageddon fluff, but I guess the Cadian set is far more common. The other stuff FW is saying is for SWA are special operatives and some conversion kits.

Inspiring write up Barnes. I've played six games of this so far, but it's all been on thrown together stand in terrain, not finished stuff.

I started painting those pipes last night, they're pretty good. The GW stuff is a little expensive but you may have pushed me over the edge with the crates.

Still looking forward to the Promethium Forge stuff. I'd love to be able to cover two tables with terrain so my group can play two games at once.

The crate set is probably my favorite piece. It is just right for this stuff. I kind of want a second set.

Just picked up these for a cool $12...going to paint them a more neon green for some chemical spills/hazardous floor terrain.

The PF stuff is neat and all, but I kind of feel like it is a "warehouse club" kind of thing. In other words you are buying an "OK" thing but in bulk...when you might have chosen another brand or option at another store while paying more.

My $144 pledge actually bought a lot of what is on my table.

But hey, I am looking forward to seeing what you guys do with it.

I picked up the battlefield in a box toxic swamp set for the same reason, it looks pretty good on the table.

Come prepainted but are more than $13.

One of my favorite Necromunda scenarios was the White Dwarf mini campaign "It Came From The Sump" which featured a mutated creature that emerged from a toxic pool and was hunting gangs (think Alien). You could confront it in a scenario or I think it could randomly show up. It was damn scary.

Good write-up, good terrain.
Question for those of you who have a complete rulebook. Are the scenarios terrain-specific, or terrain-suggestive, or anything (terrain-wise)?

They all suggest a 4' x 4' space. The only terrain-specific one that I can think of involves a raid on a bunker, and there is a door that considered the entrance to the bunker. You can pretty much lay them out however you like. There are no suggestions given in this regard. It actually would have been nice for them to show a sample layout. But almost all the shots they provide show at least 3 boxes worth of terrain.

3'x3' is plenty big, really. They suggest "between 2'x2' and 4'x4'". The only issue at 3 feet is that some of the long range weapons that have a short range penalty are a little wonky. But you can house rule that.

Plus, if you are doing 3 and have the terrain, you really want to go more vertical than outward.

Used to play Necromunda on just the cardboard terrain and the tabletop...

Michael- How long did it take for your game mat to ship? I ordered a while ago and have heard nothing.

I think like 4 days? They may have had a run on them or something.

GW is out of stock, distributors are out of stock, there are some in EBay but they are more expensive than usual.

Here's the thing about Doc's. If it's something new and he has it, you're good. If not...he will still take orders for it and try to get it from his distributor. Which is kind of a crap shoot. I've had things take a month from him. And then, he will hold your order waiting on something to come in, which is kind of irksome. I get new releases from him, but no back catalog/low stock stuff.
