That is definitely one of the coolest maps they have featured in WD. I love the tiered look and it would make the games so much fun with the numerous possible LOS areas.

If this plays just like Necromunda that layered multiple terrain is pretty necessary. The biggest problem with Necromunda was when a person would get their heavy to the high ground and perpetually overwatch. It would lock down any open areas of the map. Need that multi-storied stuff to block those sight lines.

Here are some leaked rules

Game looks cool enough, wondering how close this is to 8th edition supposedly coming this summer.

Not digging the contents/price of this box though, seems your paying a pretty hefty premium for GW scenery, which if this is anything like Necromunda, you will need a lot of. Will probably be looking into something like this if I was to get this game.

Still more interested in 8th Edition though, since it will potentially open up the entire 40k model line to an easier to manage rules system.

Oh that's pretty awesome. You can tell they just copied much of the Necromunda terrain as the bulkheads have a similar design and the shape of the buildings is similar. I may back this.

I have these. I prefer these to MDF for a wide variety of reasons, but the short version is that these are modular and also work with other stuff in their line. I got maybe 3 various sets of this stuff and made two of them into a massive post-apoc base (Think Road Warrior Refinery, complete with bus-as-gate).

Thanks for the tip Petey-boo. I just bought one of those large sets on EBay for $30 shipped- seems like you can't beat that for Necromunda-ish terrain. But questions...How many sets do you think would make a good setup? Are you just priming and drybrushing this stuff? Is it REALLY no glue required? Can it be disassembled?

Hopefully it will combine nicely with legit GW terrain- planning on getting some of that stuff too.

Those little clips remind me of the Deadzone terrain. It also claimed to be "no glue", which was horse shit.

EXACTLY what I had in mind!

I am really thinking about that Promethean Forge stuff...I really like that it flat packs into boxes...and you get a ton of it for $140.

I'll see how this Russian stuff does, if it really clips I might just go with it.

Yes I am heavily leaning towards that Kickstarter as well. I love that it all stows away so easily. And really, I'd get the $115 option. Why pay $15 more for what are essentially boxes?

They are wood, they will he etched with detail, and you can flip them over and use them as part of your terrain. I think they'll be worth $15.

That guy also has a couple of nice (and cheap!) pieces on Etsy- www.etsy.com/shop/PromethiumForge

I did back it, my pledge put it at $2000 so I got it funded. If I don't flake out on it!

Just two weeks after saying he's wary of MDF, Barnes is all-in on a set of it.

That stuff does look nice. I might be joining in.
