NON-GW Topic: Modiphius FALLOUT

I've never seen a more autobuy autobuy than this (for me).

Brother Vinni sells some great 28mm Brotherhood of Steel stuff but this is going to look white-hot bad ass.

Even if the game behind it blows, Fallout Warfare just got a serious upgrade.

I'm definitely intrigued. Could be awesome.

Here is the thing about Fallout. I was a die hard fan from the first one (I still remember counting weeks until it came out) and until Fallout 3, which I spent many hours trying to like, resulting in a sore taste for the whole franchise.
A similar thing happened with Starcraft. Years of anticipation to learn how they would continue the story, and I haven't even finished the first part of Starcraft 2. Some things belong to the past...

Yeah, those minis look great and useful for all kinds of post-apoc rules which seem to be all the rage these days.

Not sure what you mean here.... I haven't played Fallout 4 yet, but to my knowledge, no Fallout game has ever had more than a passing connection to any other Fallout game. So there is no story to continue.

I really am curious what they are going for here. Because Fallout, to me, is more about the world and your adventures in it, than it is about combat. Fallout Tactics being the exception. That game was cool. Actually I've never played a Fallout game that wasn't cool. Fallout 2 is probably my favorite RPG ever. And I didn't even finish it.

On the story-line I was referring to Starcraft. Fallout 1&2 are absolutely self-contained, but I remember wanting more of the same world. But Fallout 3 I found really, really boring. New Vegas has a much better writing, but the repetitive gameplay killed it for me.
My main issue was that these new games were too removed from the original ones.

PA rules "all the rage"? Besides WreckAge and old school shit there's not too many that are good. Mutants and Death Ray guns and Combat Zone are OK but ultimately unsatisfying but Wasteland: Total Meltdown is the cat's meow (and free)
