I saw this floating on the Net and wanted to post it here. I like the new painted miniatures in the upcoming Wizkid edition of Fury of Dracula.

That's the one thing my gaming existence lacks and I, pathetically, feel I am poorer for it - the ability (and desire) to paint figures. This means I am always a much easier sell when a game has painted minis, so while I never bought FFG's 3rd edition of FoD (because I had the 2nd edition) I will be closer to buying this one.

Is the actual game identical to FFG's third edition?

Boy I sure hope so. FFG really aced that new edition. I hope more people get the chance to play it.

The most horrifying element of the game.

It will be the same game with probably zero changes other than the figures. I am pretty sure that GW owns the whole thing in perpetuity including FFG's revisions and the artwork they created for it. But they do not have FFG's molds, so those figures will be different. The cover, as shown, is the same. Boo. Bring back the coach. Or the orange Dracula, which has an all new political connotation.

Just dumped my 3rd edition on Ebay for $95, sold in about 20 minutes.
