My illusions...shattered! I thought FFG could make ANYTHING possible when it came to customer service!

Though that would be one hell of an attachment. My work filter would probably kick it straight out.

"NOOOO! NOT MAH BITS~!!!"

Seems like the fliers breaking is a common deal...those little guys just don't like being transported. They look cool as all get out, though.

Starcraft's definitely on my list to pick up at some point this year. It looks awesome. I've read the rulebook and some of the stuff going on looks really cool.

Don't feed your kids for a week and pick it up. You can't be cool like us otherwise.

I only feed them gruel...I'd have to save for like two months.

What is the "cool limit" for coffin games? I gots two of them, that's got to count for something.

I'm already "cool like us." I've got my hair slicked back and a pack of smokes rolled up in my shirt sleeve. Oh, and a switchblade comb. Only badasses pack switchblade combs.

Yeah, we have interest from 2 others but they couldn't make it for this one... I figured it would still be a good opportunity to play 2 players and to have the only other experienced boardgame player and I work through the rules. And play Rock Band.

Just played it 2 player. After we bumbled through the rules for an hour and I explained the game, things really took off. I think I two player game could be done in like maybe an hour and a half. Can't wait to get it on the table again; I think we have the people for a 5 player game.

Definitely a tough game to explain.

Rules question:

The concept of control. I understand that the person who has the resource card controls the area--but how does this concept transfer to the red conquest points. Do I need to have a unit on them to harvest these points? Or do they follow the same principal as regular resource areas (i.e. you gather them if there are no enemies and you have a base)

I am pretty sure you have to have a unit there to collect the conquest points. Unlike the resources where you just need to hold the card.

For conquest point areas. You have to have a unit or base in the spot to collect the conquest points. Not on the back cover the order for the Regrouping Phase:
#1 Destroy Bases and Transports (so if one side had unit and one side has a base the base will be destroyed and the side with the unit will get the conquest points)
#5 Gain Conquest Points.

I was teaching 3 newbies on Saturday and I mentioned about 3 times to make sure they kept units on the conquest areas.

Also Big, Big miss print on the back page under Regrouping Phase:

#6 Should be (#9) Check for Normal Victory which is before checking for Special Vitory. (See page 16 in the rule book - which has the correct order). We almost award the victory to the person with Special Victory first, when Normal victory should come first.
