This looks kind of Hybrid-y with fixed units, a pretty simple combat system, and actual scenarios instead of those things that Tannhauser coughed up. And Japanese demons. gotta love Japanese demons.

It looks kinda cool, it has Steve Avery written all over it, that's for sure...

Actual scenarios versus those like in TANNHAUSER ("go shoot man down hall") is definitely a good thing.

Like I've said before though...the Japan theme is one of my rock-bottom "themes I don't like"...I can deal with the Chinese/Wuxia thing, but I'm tired of samurai, ninja, etc.

Oh FFG, why won't you redo HYBRID with prepainted figures...

Hybrid is one of those games I keep looking at, but I'm not sure if it's any good. The game store in the local mall has both the base game and the expansion. They're kinda pricey but the game looks cool.

But since FFG has teamed up with Rackham I've been holding off (well the costliness too is holding me off) to see if FFG updates it or not.
