Upcoming releases for Rio Grande Games include "Bonnie and Clyde', "Burger Joint", and "The Great American Railroad Game" (new version of "Stephenson's Rocket")

Anybody know anything about these?

I hope "Burger Joint" captures the magic of "Burger Time" on the Intellivision...a hopelessly overworked chef makes GIANT-ASS burgers by trodding over the components with his feet until the fall...all the while he has to dodge demonic sentient food (jealous of not being included in the burger, no doubt) and all he has to defend himself with is a few shakes of pepper.

Fuckin' A, man....early videogames were all minimalist design with pasted on themes. THE ATARI 2600 WAS A EUROGAME....

BURGER JOINT looks primed to be my whipping boy for this year...what a stupid fucking theme.

BONNIE AND CLYDE- Mystery Rummy rethemed yet again.

GREAT AMERICAN RAILROAD GAME- Reiner Knizia. Nuff said.

So short answer- I wouldn't bet on it.

I think that RIO is also planning to release a new CARCASSONNE whose theme is the westward expansion of the US.

American settings alone don't make a game AmeriTrash.

I destroyed Burger Time on my Intellivision. I loved those repetetive games too much I think. I loved those repetitive games too much I think. I shudder to think how Bonnie und Clyde will turn out. How do you quantify killing lawmen and civillians with a pile of multicolored wood stuffed into nice square boxes while stockpiling cash cards? Stealing cars and having enough ammo?

I don't get it, and probably won't. If anything this theme could be tacked onto Fury of Dracula with a few adjustments of course and would be a lot of fun.

Burger Joint is a game designed by Joe Huber (the guy with the thousand microbadgers), who also invented Ice Cream.
