Is there a sensible way to get a copy of OGRE?

If someone has the files, there was a bad ass print and play version that was on BGG for about a month.

Just get the $3 pocket version when it comes out next month. Steven Jackson likes money so I'm sure a revamp of GEV will be along at a similar price point soon thereafter.

i think I have them. If you're looking for them pm me and I'll see if they're still around.

Kwanchai did a really nice redesign, but it doesn't include G.E.V.

If I had the PDFs and was able to copy/paste the description from Page 1, it would probably read like this:

This is a redesign of Steve Jackson’s original “Ogre” game (does not include G.E.V.), with new artwork and design. The theme has been changed from “cybernetic supertanks in a bleak futuristic wasteland,” to “clunky giant robots on the Western Front of World War II.” The game system itself (unit stats, map layout, tables, etc.) is identical to the original game. Only the theme and artwork has been changed, along with new rules that have been written to accommodate these changes.
Included in this PDF are: a box cover design, rules, game counters, map, record sheets, CRT tables, and mine placement sheets. Striving to emulate the early “microgame” editions, I’ve tried to keep all the components simple and compact, so that it’s easy to throw in a bag and carry around, and doesn’t require much space to play.

Has anyone followed the Sponsor Sheets for Ogre? Talk about a fiasco.

The BGG ones are going fine. As are the Nihon Empire ones.

The Barbarians at the Gates one teamed up with the dudes from the UK to do partial inventory swap so people could order both from one site without overseas shipping. The BatG one comes with a rules book and the guy just cannot get it finished...Artist issues, layout issues...

The Nightfall one, the counters just arrived, after people started posting the dudes address online and people suggesting that someone should go knock on his door. Basically I think the book is never going to show up.

The Alliance Distributions ones I believe exist and do not have issues.

The Uncommon Ogres, I have no idea...There's no extra rules that I know of, the sheets have been delivered to the sponsor but no way to order.

And SJG has washed their hands - They put no controls on this or internal resources to oversee the process. They've said that these sheets are out of their control. It's a little bit of a cluster.
