Okay, for real though: these tokens actually are REALLY GOOD for the Settlers Card Game. Seriously! Instead of rotating your cards to show how much you have of a particular resource, you just put tokens on. It genuinely both speeds up the game and makes it more fun, as you can tell at a glance how many of each resource you have, which is surprisingly a bitch without these tokens.

Wow, how did I miss this nonsense the other day.

Am I too late for the Realm Coins jokes?

Realm coins? I didn't see that one? What are those? Is it some kind of generic fantasy coins made out of real metal or something? 'Cause that would be awesome. Like, when playing DungeonQuest, instead of having a boring card saying 52 gold coins, you could actually have 52 gold coins in front of you. How cool would that be! Of course then you couldn't play with secret treasures, but why not just blindfold all the players - that would also increase the chance of someone actually falling down a bottomless well.

Of course I don't know if that is what Realm Coins really are, but I sure hope so.

When we play Settlers at my house, we don't use cards or animeeples. We use actual logs, sheep, bricks, et al. And we play by the house rule that when you build a settlement, it must be a life-size, functioning settlement. How cool is that, yo?

The hard part is randomizing the island setup at the beginning of the game. It takes forever before those forests grow in.

I was being ironic. Apparantly I failed.
