From the rules:

If a player controls at least three skyworks at the end of
a game round, he wins the game. If more than one player
controls at least three skyworks at that time, the player
controlling the most skyworks wins the game. If those
players control an equal number of skyworks, they share
the victory.

If someone said that to me, I'd contact police. He has a family.

This sale is usually an indication of inventory that FFG is planning on tossing into a tire fire. Meaning many of these could be going OOP next year. I'd say that if you're even remotely interested in Merchant of Venus or Nexus Ops, then now is the time. Yes, Nexus Ops doesn't look as good as the Hasbro edition, and MoV has the "New" rules...they're still both really fun games. I really dig Merchant of Venus and I wish I got to play that one more. Those fucking tokens though. It's such a pain in the ass to set up.

Those FFG rules suck for Gearworld. Let's try a rewrite:

Their shit website just cost them 80$ and cost me all of the Eldritch Horror investigators.

In retrospect, it worked out. That's 80$ of Cthulhu wars miniatures instead.

I wonder if FFG will final stop re-printing old games that they see a "demand" (in quotes) for?

Or stop interpreting 5 loud people on BGG as "a demand".

I have it, but I haven't played it for a long time (though my wife has indicated interest). So I guess I'm not shocked that it's so heavily discounted, but I too am surprised that FFG has any distribution role in it.

The 1A Games website doesn't even let you buy it anymore; rumor is they've gone belly-up and FFG bought/inherited the remaining stock for resale.

Does anyone know if these prices are available at the FFG Event Center? I'll be nearby for Thanksgiving next weekend...

Usually the same, and the FFGC typically has more games selection (cleaning out store stock) but fewer books. It'll probably be fairly picked over by next weekend, but if they have a lot of stock there's usually some decent stuff left.

This year worked out pretty well for me. I bought the Warhammer Invasion core set and first cycle from a friend two months ago and have been playing it every weekend since. So I completed my collection for $80.
Grabbed a few $1 novels and Rock Band Manager for $5. Yeah these are probably not great but I'll get my moneys worth at least.

I keep looking at the Tide of Iron stuff, especially Stalingrad. I've got the base set but nothing more. Never really played it but if it's really going into limbo.....
