We grew up with a Carrom board at my grandmother's house. I wish I had known there were actual rules for playing it.

I am intrigued by this Crokinole game. I think I like the concept better than Carrom. To the woodshop to make a board!

Oh FFS I may as well just cancel everything I've got planned, since you've fucking dibbsed it first! :)

I have the Penguin book of card games that i periodically learn a game from and teach my friends. We worked out Skat (the three player german game) some time ago and played that for a while. The main game that has really stuck with me is probably Cribbage though. I've played quite a bit of that and enjoy it as much as most designer card games.

Other than that I can play quite a few abstracts but im not sure i'd classify them as Parlour games. I can play Go, Shogi, and Chinese Chess at slightly beyond beginner level.

The world has room for two bars. Carry on.

I grew up on parlour games and still love them. I play backgammon about once a week with my wife, but I almost never play any of the old card games. I should probably learn to play Cribbage with her.

I love my Crokinole board, but it doesn't get enough play. I love Chess, but I'm a pretty terrible player.
