My condolences to Steve. It was fun while it lasted.

He posted another thread today so Steve is obviously talking out of his arse. I should ban him for lying to me.

An agreement was brokered by Octavian late this afternoon. All Aldie wanted was to make sure that everyone understood I was joking about banning me from my own website. A joke I mentioned on my podcast last year.

I posted a statement on my website stating it was a joke, also quoting Derk himself from my 2nd interview with him.

That's not the quote of the day, that is the everlasting quote of the site in perpetuity. If the words "Here I stand; I can do no other" are the essence of Protestantism, "Put down your rules to Agricola and apologize to the admin" is the same to BGG, it is their quintessential motto. That should be the official BGG t-shirt.

Mind you, I don't and have never posted there. But I know the type, from a place I visit known as the SCA; The SCA: Never will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy (that's their quintessential motto).

Anyway, the worst people at the SCA tend to be rules-lawyering fun-murderers who demand that you respect their status as admins - only they do all this in a real-world setting. They also tend to be old, fat, socially incompetent know-it-alls. This is why, even with no experience posting at BGG, I can tell right away just by reading what you guys say and a few of their posts that Fun-Murdering doesn't have to involve boardgaming.
