...or how to drive people away from gaming while trying to make a buck (or a buck thirty in this case).

Wabash Cannonball is like Titan to this piece of shit.

Wow, this game isn't even listed on BGG. And when I try to click the links for goals, gameplay, etc. I get an error.

Try to browse starting from this site: thebalancingacct.com/index.html

The order site has been coded wrong which links to page in an image map, where the html pages arent located.

On topic: The game looks as fun as..... agricola! Now just bring in the hype machine and watch it beat puerto rico in the course of a month!

Uh oh...this is one of those things like CASHFLOW but made on much smaller budget. Looks like something that might get used in a corporate "team building" exercise.

Heh. Even more ominous is the fact that I've participated in quite a few of those said exercises and even they had better production value than this thing.

Given the price tag, that might be what it's geared at. So the folks in accounting can say, "So you think you can be an accountant?"

Is it a game? Or a tricky way to get free accounting services?

Yea, it's not a "game" by any stretch of the imagination. Then again, I'm always on the hunt for used copies of CASHFLOW in bookstores and thrifts as it's a CASHCOW on ebay--easiest $150+ you'll ever make. One of the most ridiculous bits is, around Xmas, people have been known to pony up $50-$60 for used copies of Cashflow for Kids even though it's $40 brand new from the Cashflow website...

A fool and his money...and all that.

The game materials are printed in Comic Sans, and that means FUN! Just look at the Valley Games edition of DIE MACHER!

Looks definitely like something you'd see in either an Accounting class in high school or a "team building" exercise at work. Either way you cut it, that game is definitely not a "fun" type of game.

At a previous job when we all had to attend a team building seminar for a couple of days, we were all supposed to roleplay a certain scenario. One guy (who was a manager in real life) took one look at the scenario and declared, "This is all bullshit anyway; let's just talk sports instead."

Did anyone see the Demo video?

It gushes with theme! Everything from the loving Ken Burns-esque shots of the board and components to the droning, bookish sounding, narcolepsy-inducing narrator immerse you in the World of Accounting. Now this would be worth selling my 2nd edition Talisman (with the Dragons expansion)for!!!

Accountants are the Zombies (or Pirates) of the 21st Century!!
