Little help with IOS? was created by jay718
So I just got an ipad and I've been scouring the internet looking for the 'best' apps. I'm not having a whole lot of luck separating the wheat from the chaff, so I thought maybe some of y'all could help a brother out.
Obviously I'd love to hear folks' board game recommendations, but also anything that you think would be good for a little guy who's about to turn 5. Also, what are the best ways to read CBR or CBZ comic files? Thanks!

Comics Zeal for .cbz/.cbr. No contest. Get Dropbox too, that's how to get them on your device.
My son is 4,Lego Star Wars is his favorite but he gets a lot of play out of the Rayman runners (both are GREAT), Joe Danger, anything made by Toca Boca, the Sonic kart racer, Angry Birds Star Wars...we have like 150 apps on ours.

For your 5 year old: The Winston Show.
It's interactive, free, and my kid loves it. It's basically a game show/talk show for kids that lets them take part.
And +1 to the suggestion of anything Toca Boca.

Ignoring games for a bit, TOCA BOCA shit is fine, and my 2yo is obsessed with it.
PETTING ZOO is well done and clever, but again, skewing a little young.
My 5yo likes THE NUMBERLIES and THE WONDERFUL FLYING BOOKS OF MORRIS LESSMORE.
THE HUMAN BODY by Tinybop is awesome, MAILY is a nice safe environment for a 5yo to "email" people.
For games, consider PLANTS VS ZOMBIES, RIDICULOUS FISHING, SKI SAFARI, TINY WINGS HD, and the RAYMAN runners.
