Tron? Tron had a cool cabinet but the game sucked.

Sinistar..."I live!"

Loved me some Sinistar. I was the king of Jungle Hunt. Played the hell out of it because it was Tarzan.

I'll be honest, when I read the title of the thread I immediately thought of pinball. Firepower III maybe, or Earthshaker.

"Enter Xenon"

I considered Ripoff as a choice. Loved that game back in the day, but when I played it recently, it feels a bit dated, and the difficulty plateaus too soon.

(The Vectrex home version of Ripoff is quite good....ditto for Star Castle. )

Tron: Deadly Discs is a top tier kind of game, but the controls are just a little too loose.

Another personal favorite is an obscure game called Speed Rumbler. This is a multi-scroll car combat shooter that plays just a bit like a more modern twin stick shooter.

Satan's Hollow wins points for awesome artwork and sound, but the game is another one that cycles three basic shooter levels over and over. For the shock factor, and a proper crossbow controller, I'd jump up to Chiller, which was just insanely over the top.

Speed Rumbler was awesome. I played that all the time, but it was not a common game. I had forgotten the name of it for a number of years.

It was a lot like Commando in gameplay, but car-based.

(and bailing out of your flaming car to take the enemy on on foot was great.)

Chiller... now that one was out there.

Barnes- Bad Dudes is not a good game. Final Fight is much better.

I just thought of Super Sprint. I used to play the hell out of that in a truck stop we frequented.

I did not frequent arcade that much. Was not a fan of fighting games (which were the majority of the arcade games here back then), didn't have much pocket money, and had lots of bootleg 10000 in 1 Nintendo cartridges.

But I did spend lots of coins in the Robocop 2 machines, enough to finish the game, loved the 4 players TMNT back then, and during my high school days played quite a bit of Keyboard Mania.
