I've played a couple learning matches against the AI (never played Summoner Wars before). Maybe it's my phone (Nexus 4), but the AI is slow.

Yeah. Unfortunately, even if you have bought all factions on iOS, you will need to rebuy. You can get them all including Mercenaries for $7.99. However, you will have access to your friends list! I'm already getting destroyed by Pete. I on Android, he on iOS.

The AI has ALWAYS taken forever to calculate its move. Even since initial release.

Looked pretty crisp to me on Kindle.

I'm suspecting that this app is sucking my battery dry at an alarming rate. Anyone else notice the same? Just installed, not being used seems to be making a big difference.

On that note, online play has been unavailable for me or my boy for over 24 hours now, perhaps due to all the new android players.

Hated this.

I played my son today and had no situational awareness whatsoever. Confused two of my cards, kept having to review everything to see what was what, played my summoner's attack instead of special ability and got hurt because of it, and I was on a seven inch screen. Gave the game away on a stupid error. At the end I thought to myself, "the real game is immensely enjoyable, this wasn't."

Don't know how you guys do this for hours at a time on a smaller screen.

You'll get used to it, Sag. I had the free version on iPhone (not so big on the game) and I found the problem you stated went away after I had fully understood the interface.

I told my son that we'll save it for when I'm away on business. When I'm home we'll play the real game.

Memoir Online is a pleasure to play, and it's on a bigger screen. This one just didin't work and resulted in an unenjoyable experience.

I'm coming to the conclusion that my Kindle needs to be used outbound only for me to enjoy it. Everything else is a hinderance to my free time.

It's better on iPad. I agree that the cards are small, and if you're playing a match over 5 days you forget where your units are placed, so you have to keep reviewing, which kind of sucks.
