Official F:AT Mario Kart 8 Thread

I haven't seen an official thread set up yet for F:ATties meeting up to play Mario Kart 8 online. I see that it's kind of a thing where you set up rooms and people jump in. What's a good time for people to jump on? I can probably do one later tonight, or tomorrow night if other people are in.

I have been going through getting gold in every cup on every speed to unlock stuff. I finally made the leap to 150cc, and the game kicked my butt.

I'll probably be on late tonight. After 10:00 my time until late into the morning (I'm moving to night shift slowly) so I'll check who's on at that time. I realize that being in my time zone means most people are asleep by the time I get on.

I'm still mid unlocking as well. Working on the 100cc still.

I think that'll be roughly 9PM KC time. I'll probably be on closer to 10 or 10:30 my time, so maybe we run a few rounds then.

Is there any interest in my setting up a room for a few rounds of Kart tonight? I'm probably going to try to get on at about 9:30 CST. Is anyone interested in meeting up for a few races?

I played a few online games last night, and it was great. I hadn't realized there was voice chat activated when you're playing with friends. The normal COM opponents are surprisingly capable. Three human players were actually defeated by the computer in at least three of our four-race cycles.

I gotta get in on THIIIIIIS. We need to coordinate the timing though, cripes. CST? I need nine-dimensional chess to figure that shit out, it's PDT here. I think I am two hours off from you--do you actually mean CDT? That's two hours.

I'm two hours before California, so if that's CDT to you Left Coast heathens, that's what I mean.

I play most nights for at least a little while. Usually I'm there at about 9:30-10, but I could do later on Fridays and Saturdays.

And Barnes, I tried to add you a month or so back and my friend request moldered on my list until it dropped off the radar. I cried myself to sleep and then took out my pain on a bunch of koopas and moblins.

I'll try to be on for about 10-12 EST tonight. If I see some folks on I'll start up a friends room and throw some invites via miiverse messenger.

I can provisionally be there for that. It might not be until like 10:30 or 11 your time though.

If we get enough interest, we should totally set up a tournament some night. Then we can all see exactly how much better I am than all of you.
