I'm glad it looks like they're just throwing the second controller in there, but I still kind of think they're underselling themselves. I'd want more games, but I could easily see this selling well for $100+ given what some kickstarters go for. I imagine this won't be expandable like the NES classic.

The NES Classic was not expandable.

And if you really feel the need to retrogame you can just play them all on an emulator anyway.

Actually, it kind of was. It turned out it had enough memory to support well over 600 ROMs, most of the US releases, and given that the NES Classic was just an emulator anyway, it plays most of them fairly well. There's instructions out there on how to do it, but I've not done it to mine. Still not sure I'm keeping it. It's worth far too much for me to hold on to while I still have a working top loader.
My guess is the Nintendo put significantly less memory on this one. The number of NES Classics on eBay that are modded out to have the 600+ games on it is crazy. I'm sure that helped to drive up the scalper market.
PS - Modern gaming and, more importantly, modern gamers, can fuck off.

I wouldn't expect such a rude statement from you. I don't think Matt was saying all old games suck. He was merely pointing out that games have come a long way, and there are many quality of life improvements common today that were either not possible back then or just weren't done.
