Computer spring clean and a holiday

Well, it's the holiday season so its time to wipe all the hard drives and reinstall Windows. My computer was getting irritating with little things going wrong that were clearly software induced hence the decision to go for broke. It went very smoothly, all things considered. I wiped the drive with a serious nuke program and then started from scratch. All told maybe 3 hrs (except the wipe which took 18 hrs).

So I've decided to have only a few games installed (instead of 30) and finish one before uninstalling and starting another (with the exception of the DCS flight sim, of course).

Also decided to fly to Bahrain in a couple of days to see the New Year in (45 min flight). They have pork and alcohol and pubs so I'm cool and Tanya was actually quoted as saying she'd quite like to just sit in a pub for a few hours. Holy Shit, I can do that for like 15 hours before I get bored. So it's Bahrain on Sunday. Looking forward to LARGE beer consumption starting Sunday night.

Bahrain has an off licence as you go into the country, as many Middle Eastern states do, so I shall be good for the week. I always remember arriving at Luxor, Egypt and buying 24 cans of beer to drink over the 4 days (not excessive I thought). I then dropped the fucking lot all over the airport concourse. I'm half drunk frantically trying to pick up 24 cans of rolling beer under the feet of various devout religious types. Those were the days.....

I use Windows so I get laid all the time.

What?! Were you 8 years old at the time? The Andy I know and love knocks that back in an afternoon!

As an aside, I'm beginning to wonder if I need to cut down a bit as my local liquor store is now specifically ordering extra 30 racks of Genny Cream for my weekly consumption. Doesn't help that the two girls I spend most of my time with also drink like champions... Viking life!

It was a compromise buy. I couldn't carry more than 24 cans plus my luggage as was evidenced by the drop.

As I was drinking in Luxor pubs a lot of the time, I ended up having to drink them over a 24 hr period anyway. I think I remember trying to slam 4 cans in 10 minutes in a hotel room while my wife was having a shower.
