I traded away Blood Bowl for Tigris & Euphrates

I also unloaded the Star Wars LCG for Taj Mahal.

And you guys can't take away my F:AT card, because staff members' cards actually say we set card-carrying standards.

So everyone get some Knizia or GTFO.

I traded away Barnes' Blood Bowl after never playing it once for Steam (which I never played either)

I still blame Barnes for trading me such a crappy-looking game that I just couldn't get into. I hope his conscience is ok with what he's done, karma is going to catch up with him.

I love Knizia. And Stone Age.

It's tough when you realize you aren't 15 any more and don't necessarily have time or enough gaming friends for a Blood Bowl league.

I don't mind Knizia. I doubt I would have traded BB:TM for one simply because I have an attachment to having played the real Blood Bowl before (and I really like the game), but whatevs. I think the only Knizia I have left is Blue Moon, which is fucking brilliant and which I will never part with (and am geeked about since FFG finally got the rights to reprint it as a whole set this year.) I've actually never played T&E...

Star Wars for Taj Mahal is the real travesty here. I still can't tell if it was Blood Bowl or Blood Bowl: Team Manager you traded away. If it was the real game and a mini team or two... you got hosed. If it was the FFG game.. not so bad I guess. As much as I enjoyed Team Manager the one time I played it I doubt it will have the longevity that Tigris and Euphrates has. I'd still rather play Team Manager right now though, given a choice.

As for your F:AT card, keep it, it's worthless now.

Jeez, just because Knizia lays a bunch of eggs doesn't mean T&E sucks. That game is fucking good. Dudes on a map, with a couple of wicked go-fuck-yourself catastrophe tiles for each player. It's a euro played with pinkies raised and a knife behind your back.

Both Star Wars and Blood Bowl (yes, the big version) suffer from the same problem, which is that they take a lot of effort for me to play them. I just don't do a ton of two-player games, because most of my gaming gets done at a game night, and you just don't plop down a two-player game at those. Guess what will get played at game nights? Tigris & Euphrates and Taj Mahal.

And this was actually a math trade on BGG, so I willingly put those games down as ones I would receive. No hosing at all, as far as I'm concerned. Judging by the people who wanted those games (since you can see who listed your games on OLWLG), I think this was about as high a value as I would have gotten. No sense in having two games sitting around while I wait for the right "value" to come courtin'. In fact, I actually received Blood Bowl last year in a trade for...Blood Bowl: Team Manager. So in that sense it's not a big loss.

The only bad trade is the one where one side isn't happy. I'm good with how it turned out.

I think this is the second time on this site this has happen to poor Blood Bowl. T & E is one of my favorite games, but I would gladly give it up for Blood Bowl at any time. I'm putting out a general notice:

If anyone in the future wants to trade away BB for a much lesser value game Euro type game; please contact me and I will make sure that the BB games end up in good loving Ameritrashy homes.

I run into the same problem Nate has. My coworker has BB and 4 teams painted, and the Saturday night gamers say, "We should do Blood Bowl sometime." But two player games don't get played on game night.

If I had it, I wouldn't trade BB for Taj Mahal, but that's my inner pack rat making that call.

Set up a mini league. Get multiple games going at once.
