What the hell!?! For the first time in years, I am in a hotel and a basketball game is on. One of the few sports I actually do enjoy watching, although not enough to be bothered to pay for cable.

Anyhow, I turn it on, and the Spurs and Heat have "Los Spurs" and "El Heat" on their jerseys. I'm like NBAWTF? So I google that bitch and sure as hell, they're doing a marketing campaign to "include Latinos.

But "Los Spurs"?? Not "Los Espuelas??" Really? So is that what it means to be a Latino? Just pop an "El" or "Los" in front of the name and that's it?

Fucking idiots. There's more Chinese than Latinos by a huge margin! How about Arabs? I used to play with Iraqis when I was a kid. Maybe the next jersey will say توتنهام ????

Jersey's have to be the least interesting aspect of any good sport... that said, you may have a case with basketball. Hockey is the only sport that's any good, and it's AT as fuck to top it all off. What other sport says fighting is technically illegal but also says "hey, if you both want to go at it, fill your boots!"

They keep fucking around with hockey jersey's too but it's mostly historical crap so occasionally you'll see Vancouver wear a jersey from the 1915 team or something... which I actually kind of like cause it relates to the history of hockey in that city.

France has (had?) a (ridiculous) law that says if a common word has a French equivalent, you have to use it in your branding or pay a fine. Coca-Cola is fine, but Virgin Megastore paid a fine every year for not calling themselves Virgin MegaMagasin.
