Crowdfunding of Chronos Conquest
Start for Real-time game

New project Chronos Conquest starts on European crowdfunding platform Spieleschmiede.

Chronos Conquest, from Witty Editions, is an innovative real-time game. Because it is played in real-time, the players don't have long to make their decisions - the sand-timers run only 30 seconds. Players who can think fast and adjust their tactics in reaction to the constantly changing circumstances will gain the advantage. The game rules are intuitive and easy to understand.

The game can be supported now: Spieleschmiede.

How the hell is "real-time" innovative? Last time I checked, games have shipped with a sand-timer for 30 years. How old is Boggle, for instance? Space Hulk set the gold standard, IMO, for "real time" as well as the incredibly innovative and clever way of simulating faster opponents by limiting the available time for Space Marines. That was a fucking stroke of genius right there.

Escape: The Cursed Temple...this new KS game...it's ludicrous to call them innovative. At least Space Alert had the good sense to actually BE innovative with a real-time game. This...and the rest...are not.

I guess my point is that marketing people like myself are destroying the known universe by things like changing "literally" to mean both "actually" and "not actually" simultaneously. Innovation has now come to mean "done before hundreds of times" and "brand new, totally novel concept".

TL;DR: Fuck people.

Faux-nnovation? That's what I'd call the hip hop releases of the last 20 years.

With the exception of Busta's first album (WHOO HAAR), i can agree with your sentiment Schweig!
